Barbara "Barbie" Wilbur grew up in Scott City, KS. She graduated from SCHS and married Mark Wilbur of Leoti. They made their home and have farmed in Wichita County for the past 40 years. Barbie served as City Clerk for the City of Leoti for ten years. She is a founding member of the women’s giving circle, Heart Strings to Purse Strings and is currently serving on the board. The Wilburs volunteer their time to the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church’s annual fish fry events, as a lector, and for various other church activities. Barbie and Mark have three children and nine grandchildren. The children, their spouses and families have made Leoti their home. They enjoy following all the grandkids activities and traveling. Barbie enjoys reading, gardening, driving combine and anything that involves the grandkids. She joined the foundation board to continue the good work the founding members began in 2002. She enjoys the challenge of growing the foundation for future generations.
